UPDATE ON THE ORGANISATION OF THE NATURALLIA 2020 FORUM
Val-d’Or, Friday, March 27th – Following the announcement of the postponement of our press conference scheduled for March 20th due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the members of Naturallia’s Board of Directors would like to inform you of the progress concerning the organization of the Naturallia 2020 Forum.
PREPARATIONS ARE WELL UNDER WAY
For the time being, the sixth edition of the Naturallia Forum, planned for September 1 to 3, 2020, is still on schedule. That being said, the members of our Board of Directors are very active and meet regularly to follow the evolution of the situation.
SEVERAL PARTNERS CONFIRMED
We are proud to be able to count on the financial support of the Government of Québec and the Government of Canada. These major partners are closely involved and contribute greatly to the event. In addition, we will announce the participation of major local and regional financial partners at our next press conference, the date of which has yet to be determined.
Although the registration period has not yet begun, we invite our partner-heads of delegation as well as our sponsors and participating companies from Quebec, Canada and abroad to follow the development of the project through our various platforms.
INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION
At the end of 2019, partners from Mexico, Kazakhstan, Sweden and Germany were visited. In January and February, some 200 companies attended presentations in Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This promotional campaign also generated good international media coverage (television and radio interviews, newspaper articles, etc.). In addition, we have partnered with the MISA Group (mining innovation cluster) to invite 6 to 8 international mining operators for a session aimed at finding solutions and innovation strategies to meet the challenges of the mining industry. However, given the current situation, national and international promotional activities in Latin America and Canada are suspended for now. When the pandemic is behind us, Naturallia will be one of the important contributors to the global economic recovery.
