Postponement of the Naturallia Business Alliance Forum
Val-d’Or, February 1st, 2021 – The members of Naturallia’s Board of Directors wish everyone all the best for this new year that is beginning, strongly hoping that it will be better than 2020.
Our Board of Directors recently met to analyze the impact on the Naturallia Forum of the exceptional health and economic crisis related to the coronavirus epidemic persisting in Canada and around the world.
The current second wave has seen an exponential increase in infections and deaths in Canada. Our governments have taken a series of measures to minimize economic activity, which limits our promotional and organizational capacity. Canada’s borders have been closed since last March 2020 and non-essential travel is not recommended within Canada.
We all hoped that the availability of several vaccines would make it possible to maintain the September 2021 dates. Currently, an optimistic Health Canada projection, echoed by Prime Minister Trudeau, predicts that 75% of the Canadian population will be vaccinated by the end of September 2021.
Given that there is still great uncertainty about the end of the crisis in Canada, as well as varying developments across countries, September 2021 is still too uncertain and too risky to guarantee successful participation.
The Board of Directors has therefore unanimously decided to cancel the forum for 2021 and wait until we can reschedule it with more certainty for 2022 or even 2023! We are confident that we will obtain new financial support from our governments so that the 6th Naturallia Forum can contribute to the post-pandemic economic recovery effort.
The members of the Board of Directors would like to express their gratitude to all those who have been involved for months in the planning of the activity, and more specifically to all the Heads of Delegations here and abroad.
We look forward to the resumption of the Forum and will remain active by offering our heads of delegation training webinars on business alliances and/or market opportunity activities..
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding. See you soon!
